BCM is a place where you can utilize your gifts to help your neighbors in need. Don’t hesitate to try new things; we provide training and support to you as you live out your call to service. We look forward to helping you find the volunteer job that best meets your interest and skills.
- Helpline Volunteers assist clients by scheduling client appointments, giving directions, and providing service referrals.
- Intake Volunteers meet with clients who come to BCM for assistance. Under the direction of the staff, these volunteers interview and assist people who come to our door seeking help.
- Money Management Coaches and Trainers work with clients to set a household budget, create and use bank accounts, and other basic skills for managing money. Trainers teach money management courses and coaches work one-on-one with families to apply what they learn in the class. All training materials are provided; no financial expertise required!
- Hospitality Volunteers create a warm and welcoming environment for our clients, many of whom are in desperate need of a smiling face.
- Thrift Store Volunteers work at Buckhead THRIFTique sorting and pricing clothing, arranging displays, running the cash register, and helping shoppers.
- Administrative and Data Entry Volunteers perform administrative tasks at the office - helping answer the phone, filing, entering data into various data banks, and completing correspondence.
- Food Pantry Volunteers organize the pantry, accept donations and pack bags of food.
- Seasonal and Special Events include 'Tis the Season Holiday Auction, Joyous Toys, Annual Appreciation Dinner, The Buckhead Golf Classic and more!!
