Jackie moved to Atlanta fifteen years ago and has worked 40 hours a week for the same company ever since. Despite her steady work history, she knew little about following a household budget or planning for emergencies. After years of financial challenges, she and her seven year-old son became homeless.

When Jackie graduated from BCM’s Transitional Housing Program this summer, she had increased her income, paid off nearly $10,000 in debt and acquired the skills to manage her household budget. She had also become a more effective and confident parent.

* The Transitional Housing Program was relaunched in Summer 2014 as Foundation 3.
