Thank you for your interest in volunteer group opportunities with BCM! We are extremely grateful for the generous contributions of time and effort from our corporate, community, faith and scholastic volunteer partners. With your ongoing support, over 11,000 hours of volunteer service was contributed to fulfilling BCM’s vision of a community free of hunger and homelessness last year.
Group Volunteer Opportunities
To support the recent expansion and renovation of our thrift store, all group volunteer projects are currently focused at Buckhead THRIFTique. Buckhead THRIFTique, located in the shopping center off Miami Circle, is BCM’s boutique-style and newly renovated thrift store. Volunteers are essential to the operation of THRIFTique and helping to not only provide affordable clothing and household goods to the community, but free clothing to people in need. Opportunities are available Tuesday – Saturday between 9AM and 7PM.
Group volunteer tasks may include the below various tasks related to providing free clothing to families in need and keeping the store operational:
- Sort, hang and price clothing donations
- Organize and restock the sale floors
- Rearrange and stage inventory
- Assist with keeping the store neat and clean
- Provide exceptional customer service and a welcoming shopping experience
Age and Chaperone Requirements for Groups: Groups of minors volunteering at BCM or Buckhead THRIFTIque must be at least 15 years old. There must be at least one adult chaperone for every four (4) minor volunteers.
