Application for Assistance
Buckhead Christian Ministry provides an online application for appointments that allows clients to pass along identification, key household information, and financial history more quickly than a phone interview alone. By selecting an appointment time and entering the information requested, BCM can connect with you and quickly vet your application.
Current Application Status
Currently, BCM is not accepting online applications for financial assistance. City of Atlanta residents interested in applying for financial assistance should contact United Way via https://relief.uwga.org or 2-1-1 and indicate you were referred by BCM. Residents of other counties should contact United Way 2-1-1 and request an updated list of agencies that may be able to assist.
What Do I Need to Apply Online?
- Digital copies of identifying information for every adult in your household.
- Digital copies of documents proving current housing in the applicant’s name.
- Digital copies of documents showing current need or loss that would be addressed with financial assistance.
- Valid email address and phone number where you can be reached.
Each application will have its own specific requirements in addition to those listed above, so pay careful attention to the first page of the application where they are listed. Digital copies of documents include scans or PDFs, but may also include legible photos of those documents.
GA HMIS Release
If you have completed the application, you will be directed to fill out the GA HMIS Release as a part of the process. BCM Provides an online version of that form, available here.
What Happens Once I Apply?
Once an application is completed and submitted, you will receive an email about a PENDING appointment. A BCM representative will contact you at the number you provided in the application, usually within 24 hours after, to confirm your information. Once the BCM representative verifies your information, you’ll receive an email with your CONFIRMED assistance appointment. DO NOT expect to meet with a BCM Case Manager if the appointment date and time is not confirmed by a BCM Representative.
