Seeds of Change Society

34% of female-headed households live in poverty. Too many mothers in our community are unable to break the cycle of poverty and, as a result, their children are more likely to have poor health, drop out of school, and be unemployed as adults.

Members and sponsors of The Seeds of Change Society are women helping mothers and children in crisis achieve self-sufficiency and create a bright future for their children. As a Seed, you will help low-income mothers regain their confidence, become strong role models for their children, and achieve a lifetime of financial security.

Annual membership requires a minimum donation of $500, and sponsorships begin at $1,000. Although not required, membership in The Seeds of Change Society involves invitations too many aspects of service throughout the year. Sponsors and members receive recognition of their support in our annual report, ticket(s) to our member luncheon, invitations to private Seeds events, access to special volunteer opportunities throughout the year, and insider updates on the families they are affecting.

If you would like more information on how to sponsor or join please contact [email protected] or call Desirae August at 678-399-8424.

* Please note, our member luncheon on April 22nd has been canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis. However, BCM needs your support now more than ever! Your sponsorship/membership will support BCM through this crisis and help us continue to serve our most vulnerable community. There will be opportunities to connect with fellow members and gather together in the future. We appreciate your thoughtful support and encourage you to step forward with BCM and join Seeds today!

Dear BCM Community:

In response to the COVID-19/Coronavirus public health emergency, until further notice, all case management, emergency financial appointments, and education will take place virtually. The helpline will continue to operate. Budget for Life and Foundation 3 clients should work directly with their case managers on arranging virtual meetups.

In an abundance of caution and in keeping with CDC guidance, BCM will close both facilities during this time. This includes the food pantry. THRIFTique will also be closed for business and clothing certificates. Pantry and thrift donations will not be accepted during this time. Please call United Way at 211 for an updated list for food and clothing assistance.

How can you help BCM help our clients? We are requesting significant financial assistance so that we will be prepared for the coming months when out-of-work wage earners will be at most risk for evictions and homelessness. This is a time when we need to come together to support those most at risk. Click below to donate now.

Thank you,

Keeva Kase
