Donate Groceries

The C. Spencer Godfrey Food Pantry provides 2,000 bags to more than 1,600 people each month. The pantry is stocked entirely with donations from the community.

Donate Food and Hygiene

We have an ongoing need for various food and hygiene items. Smaller packages are preferred because our clients often use public transportation and must carry their food long distances.

  • Food: jelly or jam, canned tuna or chicken, canned spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, oatmeal or grits, soup.
  • Hygiene Items: toilet paper, diapers (sizes 3, 4, and 5), razors, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, soap, deodorant, tooth paste, tooth brush, hotel size toiletries.

Organize a Food Drive

Food drives are a great way to build community spirit and help Atlanta’s hungry at the same time. For information on conducting a food drive at your church, your school, or your civic association, email the Director of Volunteer and Community Relations or call 404-239-0058, ext. 111.

Donate Clothing and Household Items

Donations of clothing and household items may be used in two ways. Homeless families entering our Foundation 3 program are often in need of furniture and other basic household items. However, most often, these donations are given to those in need or sold by Buckhead THRIFTique.

Buckhead THRIFTique provides free and affordable clothing to those in need. We always welcome donations of new and clean, gently used clothing or small household items.

Donations may be dropped off at Buckhead THRIFTique during our normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. All contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Any items not given or sold to customers are donated to mission efforts around the world. Any profits are used to provide food and shelter for people in crisis.

We welcome the following items:

  • Clothing: men’s and women’s business attire, large and tall size clothing for men and women, children’s clothes, shoes, coats, purses, jewelry and accessories.
  • Household Items: small appliances, dishes, flatware, cookware, glassware, kitchen utensils, lamps, clocks, mirrors, table linens, decorative bedding, luggage and tote bags.

Host a Clothing Drive

You can provide interview clothes to an out-of-work mother or give school clothes to a child by organizing a clothing drive in your neighborhood, church, business, etc. For ideas on hosting a clothing drive, email the Director of Volunteer and Community Relations or call 404-239-0058, ext. 111.
